The testing procedure is one of the basic duties of every local Mensa. It is the only way of selection from the pool of interested candidates who possess required intelligence quotient (IQ).The result on the test tat can be aquired by only 2% of the general population gives a candidate the acess to Mensa mebership. Depending on the scale, the required value of IQ of the members of Mensa, is 133 or more by Binet`s scale or 148 or more by Cattel`s scale.
Explanation of intelligence phenomenon is a lenghty one. There are many psychometric methods of determining your intelligence quotient, as well as different criteria, which have to be incorporated in the procedure itself. Generally, the IQ represents a quotient of a persons intellectual ability (results achieved on the test) and age. Average human population has IQ between 90 and 110 units on Gauss` normal distribution (Cattel`s scale). Gifted people are those with IQ between 120 and 140 unites. However, all test-takers who achieve more than 140 IQ units are extremely intelligent people.

Be advised while signing up for the testing procedure:
Even though we do all we can to increase the speed of accepting candidates to the testing-rooms, the process of forming test groups, control of candidates` rights to be tested, and check of required documents, may produce an unavoidable delay.
Your test results will be mailed to you in four to six weeks. This delay is because all the tests are processed by only one person – the designated psychologist of Mensa Serbia and Montenegro. This way absolute confidentiality of candidate`s results is guaranteed - Your test scores are known only to you and the psychologist. We do not make or public any list of results or candidates.

What does IQ > 156 and not IQ = ... in the Mensa YU Score Report actually mean?
Every correct answer on this test brings you one point or four IQ units. It doesn`t mean that the test score scale starts with "zero IQ units". Actually, the number of tasks correctly done by 50% of the people of the same age represents IQ=100. International psychologist determined a sequence of natural development of human intelligence, because of which, members of different age groups give different number of correct answers but the IQ stays the same. An individual will always retain the same position relative to others of the same age, unless he suffers considerable organic (brain) damage. In other words, the relative value of his inteligence is constant his whole life. In order to achieve higher test accuracy, 4 IQ units are added till the 30th correct answer, and all above that is labeld with "greater than" the score achieved by candidates of the same age group with 30 correct answers. There is another, more precise and reliable test for measuring extremly high inteligence for all those who got "greater then" and what to know exactly how much greater that is. Mensa Serbia doesn`t have these tests at this time.
